Hi, DoGooders! Since we’re in that time of year between winter and spring, I decided to feature pieces in this entry that can easily transition between the seasons.  While researching, I was really excited when I came across Hovey Lee Jewelry.
Hovey Lee, the collection’s designer, has a great passion for jewelry-making that is evident in each of her intricate pieces. She has earned the Gemological Institute of America’s professional certificate.
Launched in 2005, Hovey ‘s collection features gorgeous, worldly pieces made from fair trade processes and environmentally friendly materials. Besides carefully sourcing her materials and adhering to socially responsible means of production, Hovey Lee also supports several charities through her jewelry company, including UNICEF, Project Angel Food, and Stand Up To Cancer.
As I was browsing through the site, several pieces definitely stood out. One of my favorites is the Oceane cuff featured on the site’s homepage. The textured, starfish shaped bracelet is made of reclaimed brass and has adjustable metal arms. It’s definitely a statement piece, but at the same time it is full of elegance. Another one of my favorites is a set of owl earrings, called Athena IV. I love owls, so these pretty studs with black rhinestones really caught my eye.
As a huge fan of big, gaudy cocktail rings, I instantly fell in love with the Cocktail Gumball. The piece features either a cultured pearl or marble shaped piece of rose quartz, or green agate. All three styles are set into a recycled wrapped copper wire band. Pastel hues are very popular for this spring, and the Cocktail Gumball is a fun and subtle way to get in on the trend.
Hovey Lee’s eco-friendly baubles are perfect for any season and also make wonderful gifts. Whether you’re buying for yourself or for a friend, I definitely suggest you head over to HoveyLee.com and check out Hovey’s gorgeous collection.
